In this special “Power 100” issue, the editors of NJBIZ ranked New Jersey’s 100 most powerful people in New Jersey. NJBIZ stated, “We used previous lists as a guide but also challenged the staff to take a fresh look at the people they cover and make a compelling case for who should make the cut. The criteria were pretty simple: Identify the people impacting business in New Jersey in a positive way, whether they be stewards of companies or firms, legislators, educators or heads of organizations whose primary mission is to foster growth in the state. Many have appeared on the list more than once, while a few are first-timers. All have impressive track records of affecting change.” Both Crane and Zangari made the cut.
NJBIZ has this to say about Crane, “During his tenure at Sills Cummis, where he began as an associate in 1984, Crane has been involved in equity and debt financings and energy projects amassing over $1 billion… And throughout it all he has steered the 150-person firm with a steady hand and determined enthusiasm. Small wonder Benchmark Litigation named the firm New Jersey Litigation Firm of the Year in 2017 and 2018.”
And, about Zangari “… [he] continues to be one of the most prominent attorneys in the state for his role in policy and commercial real estate. He has led the Smart Growth Coalition, is a member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s executive committee and the Rutgers Center for Real Estate, and continues to do work with the state’s top developers. And when it comes time to forge positions on important industry issues, Zangari is likely to have had his opinion heard by the state’s top business leaders.”
