New Jersey Law Journal General Litigation Department of the Year: The New Jersey Law Journal, published by ALM, hosts an annual general litigation department of the year contest open to law firms of up to 200 attorneys with a New Jersey presence. New Jersey lawyers must have had a significant impact on the work being presented, though the work does not need to have been done in New Jersey. In addition to describing between 5 and 10 litigation results that demonstrate the department’s excellence over the past year, an essay explaining why the firm should be a finalist is submitted. Benchmark Litigation New Jersey Firm of the Year: Benchmark Litigation, published by Delinian Limited (formerly Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC), is the only publication on the market to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. The results of Benchmark Litigation stem from the culmination of a research period during which researchers conduct extensive interviews with litigators, dispute resolution specialists and their clients to identify the leading litigators and firms. During these interviews, researchers examine recent casework handled by law firms and ask individual litigators to provide their professional opinions on peers and practitioners within their jurisdiction or practice area.
