Sills Cummis & Gross Announces 2024 Attorney Promotions

Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce that Hillary J. Buyea and Gregory A. Kopacz have been promoted to Members of the Firm; and Corey Klein has been promoted to Of Counsel, effective October 1, 2024.
Hillary J. Buyea | Member of the Firm | Real Estate
Hillary Buyea focuses her practice on commercial real estate financing matters for institutional and private lenders for various asset types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, co-op buildings, hotels and tugboats in both single asset and portfolio transactions. Her experience includes structuring deals and drafting and negotiating documentation for all forms of financing, including loan workouts and modifications, as well as asset-based lending. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. She received her J.D. from New York Law School and her B.A. from Williams College. She is resident in the Firm’s New York office.
Gregory A. Kopacz | Member of the Firm | Bankruptcy
Gregory Kopacz represents debtors, official and ad hoc committees, lenders and strategic parties in insolvency proceedings, distressed transactions, out-of-court workouts and related litigation. His experience spans numerous industries including, education, energy, healthcare, insurance, media and entertainment, real estate, retail, shipping and textiles. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. He received his LL.M. (Banking and Finance Law) and J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University. He is resident in the Firm’s Newark office.
Corey Klein | Of Counsel | Real Estate
Corey Klein focuses his practice on land use, redevelopment, zoning and related litigation. He provides counsel to real estate developers regarding development proposals and handles all aspects of applications to municipal land use boards from application preparation to resolution compliance. He also handles municipal property tax appeals for commercial property owners. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Rutgers University. He is resident in the Firm’s Newark office.
