Sills Cummis & Gross has named two new members of the firm, including a co-chair of its Employment and Labor Practice.
The Newark-based firm said in a news release that Patricia M. Prezioso and Mary E. Toscano, both former prosecutors, have joined it as members. Prezioso will concentrate on employment defense, investigations and white-collar criminal defense, while co-chairing the Employment and Labor Practice. Toscano will focus on commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense and corporate internal investigations.
“We are pleased that two such distinguished and highly experienced trial attorneys have chosen to join Sills Cummis,” Managing Partner Max Crane said in a prepared statement. “Having gotten to know Patti and Mary, I can say they are also quality individuals; they bring a lot to the Sills family. Our clients will greatly benefit from their expertise and counsel.”
Before entering private practice, Prezioso worked for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in the Division of Criminal Justice, including serving as chief of law enforcement services, deputy director and executive assistant attorney general. Before joining Sills Cummis, Toscano was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, serving as deputy chief of the criminal division.
