Steven E. Gross is Chairman Emeritus of Sills Cummis & Gross. He has served as Chair of the Firm’s Securities and Capital Markets and Banking and Finance Practice Groups. His sophisticated approach to any legal matter has drawn clients to him on a national and international level.
Mr. Gross has counseled public companies and senior executives in mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings involving multi-million dollar transactions. In addition, he has advised boards of directors and senior executives on issues such as fiduciary duties, corporate compliance, and government regulatory matters. His banking practice has involved the representation of institutional creditors in public and private debt financings, workouts, and creditors’ rights matters.
For over three decades, he has handled multi-million dollar deals for foreign companies doing business in the U.S. and has established a unique niche in this area. These complex deals have involved multi-jurisdictional transactions, managed sale auctions, real estate, tax, intellectual property, C-Suite employment issues, and regulatory issues.
For many years, Mr. Gross has been committed to serving on numerous boards such as The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, Inc., a $150 million charitable foundation, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, both as a Director and a Member of the Operations and Finance Committee. For Harvard Law School, his alma mater, he has served as the 50th Reunion Vice Chairman.
