Mark E. Duckstein has been affiliated with the Firm since 1987, during which time he has engaged in a wide variety of litigation matters pending in state and federal courts. Mr. Duckstein concentrates his practice on the representation of corporations and other business enterprises in complex litigation involving real estate, including complex commercial landlord-tenant issues, commercial torts and contract disputes. He has extensive experience representing commercial and retail landlords, insurance companies, major lending institutions, commercial warehousing companies, and hospitals and health care providers.

From 1995 through 2005, Mr. Duckstein served as Special Counsel to the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, in the Commissioner’s capacity as the Liquidator of Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company and MBL Life Assurance Corporation. In the course of that ten-year engagement, Mr. Duckstein assisted the Commissioner in successfully completing liquidation proceedings involving both companies, which included representation of those entities in various litigation matters and disputes with policyholders, creditors, and other insurance companies, and providing general business and strategic advice.
