Jeffrey Meltzer has a broad range of commercial real estate experience and focuses his practice on the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of commercial properties throughout the United States, including shopping centers, office/industrial buildings, apartment complexes, manufacturing facilities and vacant land for development, in both single-asset and portfolio transactions. He represents institutional lenders and borrowers in commercial mortgage loan transactions (both conventional and securitized), and is experienced with various asset types, including retail, office, hotel, multifamily and industrial properties, as well as alternative methods of financing including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. He also represents both landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions involving retail shopping centers, office and industrial buildings, with a particular emphasis on retail space in the NY/NJ metropolitan area.
In 2021, Mr. Meltzer was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve a 4-year term on the District XIII Ethics Committee, where he conducted investigations of grievances and handled related disciplinary matters on behalf of the Committee.
