Today’s corporate environment has changed dramatically over recent years. Corporations are under increased scrutiny from the public and private sectors to meet the highest business and ethical standards. As a result, the Sills Cummis & Gross Corporate Internal Investigations Practice Group is frequently called on to conduct internal reviews, review conduct of executives and corporations, and assist board committees on a range of topics.
Depending on a client’s needs, we design and implement corporate compliance programs, conduct internal investigations, provide legal counseling to executives and corporate boards, and represent those who might be targets or subjects of criminal investigations or involved in parallel civil or administrative matters.
We have assisted large, multinational corporations as well as smaller, privately-owned entities. Our group includes several former prosecutors with a wide range of experience. We stand ready to assist clients in responding to subpoenas at federal and state levels, defending against accusations of wrongdoing but also proactively adopting compliance programs to preempt issues from arising in the first instance.
