March 25, 2025
As one of the NJBIZ “Leaders in Law” honorees, Sills Cummis Member Michael Carucci was highlighted in the NJBIZ Leaders in Law Supplement.
NJBIZ had this to say about Michael Carucci:
Michael Carucci, member of Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., has built a distinguished career focused on delivering results for clients across complex business litigation, high-profile appeals, and internal investigations.
With an impressive track record that includes winning 11 out of his last dozen appellate matters, Carucci attributes his success to rigorous legal analysis and unwavering attention to detail.
“I think my greatest contribution for clients has been that, more often than not, with the help of my colleagues, I find ways to win a given case, resolve a dispute, or otherwise help clients succeed,” Carucci said.
Before joining Sills Cummis, Carucci served as senior counsel in the Governor’s Office, where he advised on legal, legislative, and regulatory issues. He previously worked as a litigation associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, representing international corporations in multimillion-dollar litigation.
Carucci’s practice has evolved to include business and employment counseling, expanding his ability to serve clients’ diverse needs. He finds particular satisfaction in mentoring associates and law students.
Beyond his legal work, Carucci serves as a commissioner of the New Jersey School Ethics Commission and volunteers as a board member for three schools and his parish finance council. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he participates in community service projects and coaches CYO volleyball.
“I believe the law is a noble profession. Making a positive difference in someone’s life through advocacy is enormously satisfying,” Carucci said.
The “Leaders in Law” list recognizes legal professionals whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding. According to NJBIZ, “Leaders in Law” honorees “have contributed in a variety [of] ways to the development of New Jersey’s jurisprudential landscape and the state’s legal economy.” The NJBIZ “Leaders in Law” honorees were recognized at a ceremony at The Marigold in Somerset, NJ on March 25, 2025.
