& Gross P.C.
What do you consider to
be your greatest contribution to the success of your company/clients? My
empathy for their concerns, understanding their goals and needs and constant focus
on developing an effective strategy to navigate a path to success.
What do you enjoy most about your career? I consider it a sacred
honor when clients come to me with their problems, questions and concerns and
ask me to help them find a solution or navigate to a better place in their
lives. It is both humbling and enriching—and it gives me purpose! Moreover, the
legal community is creative and dynamic and I am constantly amazed and inspired
by others with whom I interact.
What types of charities, community
involvement, or pro bono work are you involved in? I am a founding and
current executive board member of New Jersey’s largest LGBTQ education and
advocacy organization, Garden State Equality, and have been involved over the
past two decades in the grassroots, political and legal advocacy for my
community’s rights and protections. As a member of the board of the American
Bar Association, I work to advance diversity and inclusion in the legal
profession and advocate for a more just and equitable world.
Who has been your most
influential role model? My mom raised me to step up and act, informed by
common sense and morality. She showed me the spirit and courage to take up
battles on principle and to engage where I disagree or see something wrong.
