As Honorary Chairman of this charity event, Mr. Buckley opened the program with welcoming remarks and introduction of the five “leaders and legends” honorees and seven college scholarship recipients.
The honorees in attendance were Joetta Clark-Diggs, Robert T. Cottingham, Jr., Nina Wells, Robert Wilson and Sills Cummis & Gross’s own Peter Verniero. In addition to awarding seven scholarships to worthy Newark high school students, the event serves as the principal annual fundraiser for the Newark YMCA.
