N.J. Wineries Entering Federal Fray on Distribution Rights

According to this January 24, 2011 NJBIZ article, “New Jersey’s 39 vineyards and wineries announced Monday they will intervene in an ongoing federal case that could threaten their ability to sell wine directly to consumers who visit their wineries, and bypass liquor wholesalers by selling wines at a limited number of retail locations. The Garden State Wine Growers Association said it hired the Newark law firm Sills Cummis & Gross to intervene in a case remanded to the U.S. District Court in Newark by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.” This story was also featured in The Star-Ledger (January 26, 2011), The Philadelphia Inquirer (January 30, 2011) and the New Jersey Law Journal (February 7, 2011).
