According to a November 2007 article in The Real Deal, “In the last year, law firms have accounted for 11 to 15 percent of Manhattan office-leasing activity, second only to financial-service companies…” “This year, the Newark-based Sills Cummis & Gross, for example, took 32,000 square feet at One Rockefeller Plaza, twice the size of its old office at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and 10 times that of it first one in 2000.” The article continues, “As its practices are increasing in Manhattan, it views New York as ‘being a critical component of our present life and future,’ said Mark Levenson, a Sills Cummis partner.”
