Governor Christie Announces Task Force to Reduce Violence in N.J.

Governor Christie announced the formation of the New Jersey SAFE task force to study the best ways to implement “violence control.” According to this article, the task force will in the next 60 days make recommendations in five key areas: gun control, drug and alcohol addiction, mental illness, the level of violence in society and school safety and security. The panel will be led by former Supreme Court Justice Peter Verniero and former state Attorney General John Degnan.
