Ted Zangari, a Member of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, was interviewed for an article about Forest City Ratner’s proposed 22-acre Atlantic Yards mixed-use development in Brooklyn, New York. This article by Elaine Misonzhnik is entitled “Getting Closer: Atlantic Yards get approvals, but could face appeals” and was published in the January 2007 issue of Retail Traffic magazine. The article discusses the possibility of local properties and small businesses being seized by eminent domain and according to Zangari, “These things can drag on for years and, unfortunately, around the country these sorts of lawsuits have caused well-intentioned urban renewal projects to die by the thousands.”
