Peter G. Verniero comments on eminent domain in this John Salustri article. “Eminent domain means different thing to different people…” He describes his judicial perspective whereby eminent domain is rooted in the constitution but indicates there are always causes and phrases subject to dispute and controversy. The Kelo case put this subject on the map and Verniero states: “…it’s the law of the land.” He goes on to discuss the dissenting groups of justices.
