Marketing Assistant – Newark

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant who is interested in joining a great team where you can build your skills while working at one of the largest New Jersey-based law firms. This position is responsible for maintaining the Firm’s client relationship management (CRM) software InterAction, assisting with graphic design projects and supporting the Firm’s marketing/business development efforts. The position, located in the Newark, New Jersey office, reports to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with managing all aspects of the Firm’s CRM system, including performing data quality and maintenance – resolving user tickets, researching and updating company/contact information, logging activities, handling duplicate contacts and unassociated contacts, etc.; assisting with management of user licenses; creating and maintaining various marketing lists; performing searches and running reports; and reviewing and updating software settings as needed
  • Work on graphic design projects, including formatting and creating marketing brochures, client alerts, professional announcements, journal ads, advertisements, invitations for external and internal events, social media/blog graphics and PowerPoint presentations, among others
  • Assist with editing various marketing pieces, including attorney bios, practice pieces and ranking submissions
  • Assist with posting content to the Firm’s website, social media accounts and blogs, as well as website text maintenance and edits
  • Assist the Senior Marketing Coordinator with administrative assistant and attorney CRM training – including, providing InterAction support as needed via phone, email and in-person
  • Assist with administrative duties, including processing invoices and charitable contribution paperwork, filing and filling out expense reports, among others
  • Ability to learn/use Concep and other software tools as needed to assist with sending electronic mail campaigns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team members and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Superior aptitude for detail and accuracy while exhibiting a high degree of critical thinking
  • Must have excellent communication and client service skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Must work well under pressure and be a self-starter, problem-solver, proactive thinker and team player
  • Diplomacy, tact and ability to maintain confidentiality are required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or English
