This December 17, 2007 New Jersey Lawyer article discusses first-year hiring at major law firms in New Jersey. Max Crane was interviewed for this article and discusses the Firm’s hiring effort. According to the article, “[Sills Cummis & Gross] keeps [first-year] classes intentionally small.” Crane said, “Our first, and primary responsibility, is to our clients, who more and more want experienced lawyers to handle their sophisticated cases. We tend to focus our energy and resources on attracting lawyers who can better service our clients – lateral hires, mostly from New York.”
