U.S. air carriers suspended service to Israel on July 22, 2014 but El Al Airline Continued to fly. The airline was overwhelmed by travelers either trying to get back to Israel or to the U.S. Mark Levenson, Chair of the Firm’s Israel Practice Group and the New Jersey-Israel Commission, who returned to the U.S. on the previous Sunday said Israel and tourism are hurting badly because of the hostilities. He went on to say: “It’s very tense over there…The fighting’s gotten really bad. I was in and out of bomb shelters.”
