What were your early influences? My parents were each the first in their generation to attend college. They took it upon themselves to seek higher education even though their Italian parents did not necessarily see the inherent benefits of schooling. Ever since I was a little girl, my parents have emphasized to me and my siblings the importance of a good education. I can say with assurance that I would not be a lawyer today if it had not been for mom and dad. My husband has also had a tremendous influence on my life. We met at Villanova and he has always been my equal partner.
If you could wish for anything to come true, what would you wish? I sometimes wish that my “20-year-old-self” could have had some conversation with my “grown-up self.” There are so many things that I worried about in my 20s that I should have not worried about. Similarly, there are lots of things that I should have given more forethought.
What would people be surprised to learn about you? I do at least one Sudoku puzzle most nights, I have been in the same book club for over 15 years and my favorite time of day is sunset, especially if I am near the water.
