Jeffrey J. Greenbaum, Chair of the Firm’s Class Action Litigation Practice Group, was interviewed for a Law360 article on proposed legislation that would punish shareholders for frivolous lawsuits. According to the article, “While the proposed legislation seeks to shield corporations from unfounded and costly suits, class-action defense attorney Jeffrey J. Greenbaum of Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. said both sides could benefit from it.” “To the extent that it formalizes existing case law, it helps everyone because there will be greater certainty of results and greater consistency of judicial decision,” Greenbaum said. “It helps both sides by laying out what the existing law is.”
