This GlobeSt.com article discusses the October 4, 2007 RealShare New Jersey Conference panel addressing the impact of economic development on commercial real estate. Ted Zangari, a Member of the Firm, moderated the panel. According to Zangari, “Full build-out is upon us, and smart growth was supposed to be the silver bullet that would save us all. Unfortunately, things have not been going so well for smart-growth redevelopment.” The article continues, “The real estate industry is facing multiple challenges in the state that are ‘slowing deals, killing deals and causing deals to be scaled back,’ added Zangari. For the sake of the state’s economic survival, something needs to be done, and to affect those changes, ‘we are no longer real estate developers; we are economic developers.’”
