Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. seeks a 8-20 year attorney, who has demonstrated experience and/or success in academic coursework in Employment & Labor legal work, to join our Newark office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Employment and Labor Practice Group that provides the full spectrum of management-side employment work for their clients; specifically, they litigate, they counsel, and they investigate. Requirements

  • 8-20 years of experience assisting with the defense of employment claims, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, restrictive covenant enforcement and defense, and trade secret prosecution and defense in state and/or federal courts or before government agencies.
  • Experience with Human Resource Support and all phases of Employment Counseling.
  • Experience in traditional labor law and/or ERISA matters is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must be admitted to practice in NY and NJ.
  • Excellent academic credentials, legal research, drafting and writing ability, and analytical and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
