Attorney of the Year Finalist: Thomas Prol Building Bridges, Inspiring Others

Thomas Prol, a finalist for the New Jersey Law Journal’s “Attorney of the Year” recognition, is highlighted in this New Jersey Law Journal article, which focuses on his efforts building bridges within the legal community and inspiring others through his work.
Throughout his legal career, Prol has been a vocal advocate on issues of equity and access to justice. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA)’s House of Delegates and was elevated to the ABA’s Board of Governors in August 2024, sitting as one of 43 attorneys overseeing the organization’s operations. He also served as President of the New Jersey State Bar Association from 2016-2017, its first-ever openly gay leader. As a founding and current executive board member of Garden State Equality, Prol has helped lead Garden State Equality, New Jersey’s largest LGBTQ+ rights organization, for two decades.
