S. Jason Teele is a Member of the Sills Cummis & Gross Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Reorganization Practice Group. He brings significant experience to his practice, which focuses on corporate restructuring, commercial litigation and transactional matters involving distressed businesses.
Mr. Teele gives practical, actionable advice to creditors, creditors’ committees, purchasers of distressed assets, lessors and debtors, and labor unions and labor pension funds in all aspects of financial distress and bankruptcy.
He also advises companies, boards of directors, directors and officers of financially troubled companies regarding their fiduciary duties and strategies for dealing with distressed customers or vendors. His experience spans a number of industries including, automotive, broadcasting, chemical, health care, manufacturing, media and entertainment, paper and publishing, pharmaceutical, retail, textiles, and transportation and logistics.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Teele was part of teams recognized for their restructuring work and received the following recognitions, “Turnaround Atlas Awards – Consumer Products Restructuring of the Year” in 2019 and “Turnaround Atlas Awards – Retail Services Restructuring of the Year” in 2019 by Global M&A Network, as well as “Turnaround Awards – Restructuring Deal of the Year – $25 million to $50 million” in 2018 and “Turnaround Awards – Restructuring Deal of the Year – $100 million to $500 million” in 2013 by The M&A Advisor.
