Topic:
The Impact of Liquor License Reforms on the New Jersey Consumers, Economic Development and Municipal Finance
Convinced that, in many cases, New Jersey’s archaic Alcoholic Beverage Control Laws increase consumer costs, limit consumer choice and stifle economic development, State Senator Jim Beach has introduced a package of reforms. The reforms also hold the potential for providing some increased revenues for the host municipalities and a measure of relief for their property taxpayers. This panel, which includes Ted Zangari, will consider the negative impacts of current laws, and the potential costs and benefits of reform. Learn all about the issues and how your municipality might be able to maximize its economic development and revenue benefits from reform.
