Sills Cummis & Gross
is pleased to announce the addition of Pavitra Badami as an Associate in The
Family Law Practice Group in the Newark office.
Ms. Badami focuses her
practice on litigation and mediation of complex matrimonial issues, including
child custody, relocation, emancipation, child support, alimony, equitable
distribution of assets, asset valuation and protection, pre- and post-nuptial
agreements, and post-divorce litigation.
Prior to joining Sills
Cummis & Gross, Ms. Badami was an associate at a New Jersey regional law
firm, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Maritza Berdote Byrne,
P.J.F.P., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part,
where she worked on a variety of family law cases including, but not limited
to, alimony, pendente lite support,
child support, custody and parenting time arrangements, and marital settlement
During law school, Ms.
Badami was an intern at the Office of the Attorney General, Department of
Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and served
as a Judicial Intern to both the Honorable Stephen Bernstein and the Honorable
Linda Cavanaugh in the Superior Court of New Jersey. She also served as Senior Editor of the Rutgers Law Record and was a member of
the Minority Student Program.
She received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law –
Newark in 2016 and her B.A. from Rutgers University in 2011. Ms. Badami is
admitted to practice in New Jersey.
