This roundup of some of the critical New Jersey legislative and regulatory initiatives in 2017 includes an update on employment-related bills. "With such vetoes, there has been 'an absolute standoff' this year between the governor and the Legislature in terms of employment policies, according to David I. Rosen of Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., chair of the firm's employment and labor practice group. 'So I can't look back and say this is a great year, mediocre year, bad year,' said Rosen, who also serves as president of the Academy of New Jersey Management Attorneys. 'I think it was a non-event year in the employment area in New Jersey, because of this political standoff, if you will.'"
