The Sills Cummis & Gross Women’s Group
The Sills Cummis & Gross Women’s Group promotes the professional and personal growth of women lawyers at the Firm. Recognizing that women may face unique challenges, the Women’s Group provides a forum for meaningful discussion and learning. The Group seeks to provide mentoring for our women lawyers, helping provide equal opportunities for women in the profession.
Initiatives
The Firm is involved in a number of community initiatives, including:
New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) – The Firm is a supporter of the NJSBA. Our attorneys have been involved in various leadership capacities, including serving as Officers and on Committees.
New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project (NJ-LEEP) – This is a competitive, after-school, college-prep program for Newark area middle and high school students interested in the law and in going to college. Several of our attorneys have mentored high school students for this program, which recruits potential lawyers.
New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) – The Firm is a supporter of the NJWLA. Our attorneys have been involved in various leadership capacities, including serving on the Executive Board.
In addition, Sills Cummis & Gross encourages its lawyers to actively participate in a variety of bar and industry associations, including national, state, local, and affinity bar associations, as well as industry groups.
